The Dakhla Downwind Challenge 2019 The epic adventure is now underway!

Dakhla Downwind Challenge 2018

Dakhla, Morocco

The 5th edition of the Dakhla Downwind Challenge, a sporting event that is a true adventure; a 500 km downwind kitesurf expedition, commenced this Wednesday in Dakhla, Morocco. The celebration of this event marks the 40th anniversary of the recuperation of the province of Oued Eddahab.

This special event is under the High Patronage of the King Mohamed VI.

The participants of the Dakhla Downwind Challenge will face some tough kitesurfing conditions as they descend the 500km route starting at Dakhla Spirit Camp, where they will sleep each night in tents at a camp set up at different locations at each spot.

Each year, this event invites a variety of pro-athletes to participate, and this year Antoine Auriol, pro rider from France, is joining the group in their adventure.

The Dakhla Downwind Challenge is organized by Soufiane Hamaini, ex pro-rider from Morocco, and founder of Dakhla Spirit.

The Dakhla Downwind Challenge takes place each year, so be sure to get in touch if you want to participate in the next edition!
